Guatemala: the Land of Eternal Spring

Guatemala is called "The Land of Eternal Spring" because the weather is always nice, flowers always seem to be blooming, and much of the soil is great for agriculture. It is also the country where Sra. Barganz studied and lived in order to learn Spanish!

However, there has been a lot of political unrest lately...

Please post:
1.) One thing that you personally would like to do if you ever visited Guatemala.
Post in the comments what it is called, where it is located, what it is, and why you think you would like it.

2.) One current event that is happening in Guatemala. Post what is happening, where, and if it is having an effect on the way the country is run or is seen by outsiders.

If there are pyramids in Guatemala like the one in in the picture, I think it would be cool to visit one of those.
